Earth Breeze Laundry Sheets Review | Eco-Friendly Laundry Strips
Looking for a hands-on Earth Breeze review? Well, I recently had the chance to test out Earth Breeze Eco Sheets for myself!
Every time I look at the laundry pile, I find myself thinking of nudism as a pretty clever lifestyle option! Mountains of washing to do also mean the need for a lot of laundry detergent!
If you’re, like me, tired of hauling bottles of detergent home from the store, you’ll be happy to learn that dissolvable laundry strips are becoming more and more popular!
Earth Breeze is just one brand jumping into the world of eco-friendly laundry detergent – together with Tru Earth and Kind Laundry – by ditching plastic packaging and wasteful liquid formulas. The company is based in Oregon and backs up its claims of sustainability by planting trees and participating in a carbon offset program.
Here’s what the brand has to offer and how my experience compared to my expectations. I have also written about how Earth Breeze compares to Tru Earth.
About Earth Breeze Eco Sheets
Earth Breeze offers eco-friendly laundry detergent that is completely plastic-free. Rather than taking the form of a liquid or pod, however, Earth Breeze detergent comes in dissolvable sheets.
Here’s a quick overview of how Earth Breeze Eco Sheets stack up:

These laundry detergent sheets are made with very limited ingredients, which is great! But they do include polyvinyl alcohol and polyethylene glycol (water-soluble polymers derived from petroleum).
Each pack includes 30 sheets that will last for up to 60 loads. Earth Breeze recommends using a half-sheet for the average load of laundry. Large or particularly dirty clothing should be washed with a full sheet. You can subscribe to Earth Breeze to make regular purchases, which takes away the stress of having to buy detergent. You are not locked to any contract and can cancel your subscription at any time.
The Earth Breeze Eco Sheets got my clothing just as clean as my go-to laundry detergent! There was no residue or undissolved pieces of the sheet left in the washer or on my clothes.
Fresh Scent vs Fragrance Free
Earth Breeze currently offers two versions of their Eco Sheets: Fresh Scent and Fragrance Free.
The Fresh Scent Eco Sheets have a mild fragrance straight out of the package. However, I didn’t notice any noticeable scent on the laundry after it was washed and dried. The clothing just smelled “clean.”
As someone who is sensitive to many fragrances, this was great news!
Of course, if you or someone in your household is sensitive to added fragrance, the Fragrance-Free version is still the safest option.
How Much Do Earth Breeze Laundry Sheets Cost?
In the United States, the average household spends 21 cents per load on laundry detergent.
This number can vary greatly and includes extremely frugal households as well as those who purchase specialty detergents and laundry additives.
If you’re not sure how much your current laundry detergent is costing you each time you do laundry, you can find an estimate by taking the price and dividing it by the typical number of loads you get out of one bottle.
Earth Breeze Eco Sheets cost 33 cents per load on average. If you sign up for Earth Breeze’s monthly subscription service, the average cost per load drops to 20 cents.
So, will you save loads of money by switching to Earth Breeze laundry products? Probably not! But you are likely to make the switch without spending any more money on laundry than you already do. If you add to that their contribution to carbon offset programs, that’s an extra bonus.
What Kind Of Packaging Does Earth Breeze Use?
The primary mission of Earth Breeze is to minimize (or completely eliminate!) the use of plastic and plastic byproducts in day-to-day life. So it should come as no surprise that these sheets are packaged without any plastic at all.
Instead, all Earth Breeze sheets come in simple cardboard packaging that can safely be recycled or (even better!) composted in your garden.
The use of such lightweight packaging also means that shipping Earth Breeze products consume fewer resources than transporting heavy bottles of liquid detergent.
Packaging can be so wasteful, a plastic-free alternative certainly gets a big green tick of approval.

Earth Breeze Laundry Sheets List of Ingredients
The official list of Earth Breeze ingredients include Glycerol, Primary Alcohol Ethoxylate, Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate, Sodium Acetate Trihydrate, Polyvinyl alcohol, Polyethylene Glycol, Deionized Water, and Corn Starch.
Additionally, the Earth Breeze Fresh Scent includes all of the above ingredients plus ‘essence’ which gives the laundry sheets their fragrance.
Earth Breeze Subscription and Cancellation
Earth Breeze has a self-managed ‘subscriptions’ platform within its website. For those who sign up for a subscription, Earth Breeze makes it super easy to make changes such as skip, delay and cancel your subscription at any time.
I love the flexibility of doing this by pressing a button rather than having to call and talk to someone!
Where Can You Buy Earth Breeze Products?
You can buy Earth Breeze products on Amazon. and directly on the brand’s website Earth Breeze website where they offer a discounted subscription rate.
Other local and online retailers may sell Earth Breeze products but there’s currently no easy way to search for such stores. It would be great if Earth Breeze added this feature to their website in the future!
